For more than a century, discussions have not subsided around them, which do not always end with an understanding of the true meanings of what happened, an awareness of the essence of what happened, an indisputable approximation to the truth. It analyzes current issues related to the development and implementation of the EU Strategy on combating antisemitism and fostering Jewish life (2021–2030).
It is argued that the development of new legislation to combat antisemitism, based on the definition of antisemitism proposed by the International Holocaust Remembrance Alliance (IHRA), as well as the implementation of effective measures to support the development of Jewish life (the term "Jewish life" refers to the development of the traditional way of life of the Jews), are important tasks not only for the EU but for the entire civilized world. European efforts in these areas can serve as a benchmark and model for the United States, Canada, and other countries where such practices are just beginning to be established.
The author also analyzes the challenges of combating antisemitism in the EU and the reasons for the increasing emigration of Jews from the European continent. They are born and develop (and sometimes die), constantly proving their right to a place under the sun of history. Crises of political development, among which the authors analyze the crisis of identity, the crisis of legitimacy, the crisis of penetration, the crisis of distribution, and the crisis of participation in their interaction, as well as due to extremely contradictory external influences due to a specific geopolitical environment (between two large centers of power, which is also analyzed in the monograph), have effectively led to the trials and tribulations that the Ukrainian state is currently
undergoing.
The monograph is intended for social scientists, politicians, experts and anyone interested in the political development of Ukraine.
2023-01-01T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Author's team, (c) Kuras Institute of Political and Ethnic Studies, NAS of Ukraine https://book.ipiend.gov.ua/catalog/book/255 The political process in independent Ukraine: summaries and problems 2022-10-22T15:02:17+00:00 Bevz T. Against the background of the analysis of all-Ukrainian elite processes, the formation and development of regional elites of Sumy region in the period from the end of 1991 to 2021 were studied. The transformation of regional political elite identities and its political values was revealed. The policy of regional identity is conditioned by the culture of regional elites, their ideas about the past and future of the region, the country. Regional political elites often contribute to the growth of polar and conflicting identities. In the process of studying political behavior, it was proved that the chosen line of behavior of the regional political elite of Sumy region was not always consistent, as it was subject to the influence of many environmental factors and individual characteristics of the elite.
2022-06-20T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2022 Bevz T.
